The catering group behind Upper Crust and Caffè Ritazza raised its full-year results guidance to the top end of its expectations after a standout performance from its North American business.

SSP Group, one of the world’s biggest travel outlet food operators, said that revenues from the region were now at 124 per cent of pre-Covid levels, reflecting the growth of domestic air travel and the scale of net contract gains.

The company said that, in the wake of strong growth in the first half, particularly in the United States and Asia Pacific region, it now expected underlying earnings to be at the upper end of its previous guidance of between £250 million and £280 million.
