Range Rover review: more luxurious than ever — and a lot more expensive

A few years into its loss-making Concorde service, British Airways quizzed some of its most frequent flyers about the cost of flying supersonic. These repeat customers, being captains of industry and rock gods, had staff to book their plane tickets, so when asked the price of a trip on Concorde they made guesses far in excess of the actual figure. Delighted, BA simply made prices match what its best customers thought they were, no one complained, and the airline stopped haemorrhaging cash with every window-rattling Concorde take-off.
