Nearly a century and a half on, the University of Oxford will next week face a significant test of its attitude towards freedom of speech. Up to 1,000 protesters are preparing a campus picket in a dispute over the decision by the Oxford Union (OU) to invite the feminist professor Kathleen Stock to give a talk on gender.
