Somerset are in a strong position to secure their first win of the season after forcing the hosts Middlesex to follow-on as the New Zealand all-rounder Matt Henry starred with bat and ball.
Henry took five for 45 as Middlesex collapsed to 175 all out in their first innings. The paceman had made an explosive 40 with the bat in the first hour of the day to take Somerset past 400.
It has been a difficult start to Middlesex’s return to Division One and the team have managed to pick up only one batting bonus point in the six matches they have played.
