Jeff Bezos ‘gets engaged to Lauren Sanchez’ on his $500m superyacht
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are said to be engaged after the Amazon boss popped the question aboard his superyacht.
The couple have been in the south of France for the Cannes film festival while staying on the $500 million vessel, whose prow features a wooden sculpture resembling Sanchez.
Rumours they were about to tie the knot have been building for months after Sanchez, 53, a former broadcast journalist, was spotted wearing a big heart-shaped ring. Several US publications have cited sources confirming the engagement.
Bezos and Sanchez publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2019 after Bezos finalised his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott. Since then Bezos and Sanchez have often been seen at red carpet events and other celebrity gatherings.
