Brad Pitt to take wheel at British Grand Prix for new F1 film

Filming in Silverstone as Formula One gets the Top Gun treatment

Formula One, a sport long synonymous with globe-trotting glamour and daring drivers, will soon add a sprinkling of Hollywood celebrity to the grid.

Brad Pitt is set to take a race car for a spin around Silverstone during the British Grand Prix in July as part of the filming for his forthcoming F1 movie.

The as-yet-untitled project will be led by Joseph Kosinski, the director of Top Gun: Maverick, who has said he wants to create the same level of authenticity on the track as he did in the air.
