Anthony Joshua hits out at ‘clowns’ and ex-coach before promising ‘blood’ against Jermaine Franklin
Before he gets a chance to exorcise his frustrations against Jermaine Franklin on Saturday, Anthony Joshua has taken a swipe at his former trainer Robert Garcia, and branded the boxers-turned-pundits who repeatedly criticise him as “clowns”.
Garcia was in the corner for Joshua’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk in August but was critical of the British boxer’s performance in the aftermath, insinuating that Joshua was mentally weak and difficult to work with.
Garcia later claimed to have been misquoted but not before Joshua, who is now training under Derrick James, had seen the comments and made little attempt to disguise his irritation.
“When it comes to your head coach I think it is important to keep things in-house,” Joshua said. “There are things I didn’t like
