Andy Murray has won his first tournament since 2019, beating Tommy Paul, the world No 17, to win the ATP Challenger event on clay in Aix-en-Provence. Murray, the world No 52, had been a late entry to the tournament after losing his first two matches of the clay-court season in Monte Carlo and Madrid, but he recovered from a slow start to beat Paul 2-6, 6-1, 6-2, securing his first clay-court title since 2016. His victory ensures that he will rise this week to No 42 in the world rankings, his highest ranking for five years.
